Exploring Wings

I have illustrated the wings of bees to understand the detail and scale I need to focus on for my double page spread - I really enjoy the appearance of the wings because although they are delicate they are extremely detailed. I have also stitched a bee to understand how a textured surface will compare to a smooth one. I enjoy my stitched outcome because of its simplicity, I feel the basic outline makes the detailed wings stand out and become the main focus. My next intension will involve continuing to explore with a range of techniques to identify the most successful.
