Robin Paris is a batik artist mainly inspired by her surroundings - the Cornish countryside; nature and the environment are the main features in Robin's work. I really enjoy the organic colours and marks the artist uses as this contributes to the texture. I like this batik because the caterpillar positioned in the centre is eye-catching and draws you into the work. I would like to revisit this technique within my own work and will be researching places I can go to se professional tools; if this fails I may try the materials I previously used.
